The engine responds well to mild upgrades, the addition of a Weber carb is an easy one, there is an adapter plate available for the Weber to the intake. For the head, the early ones sold in US had an extra intake \"jet valve\" that was an early attempt at emission compliance. Those were a weak point, the heads are prone to cracking, can't handle heat. I'm betting this is a non-jet head.
