I watched the tech clear the system by entering the chassis vin through Lotus software. When you jump start an Elise they can occasionally clear the VIN on the computer to 5 zeros instead of the production number. In this case, 11155.\r\n\r\nSo, all good now!\r\n\r\nAC Compressor swap is 4.5 to 5 hours. New compressor from Lotus is $1388.88. But I'm looking for an alternative for less since it is a Toyota part. Sorry in advance about the wind noise, just couldn't bring myself to put the top on and roll up the windows!\n\nI fixed the passenger door latch and the lock is now working one way, locking. So you can use the power door lock to lock her, but must manually unlock from the inside or use the key on the outside. It's not the selenoid, I read online there is a brain to this system. Scott\u2019s is one of 3(!) in Solid Racing Green. Three. If you were to own a 2011 Elise, you would probably never see another 2011 Elise at your local cars and coffee. You might see another Elise (if you live in L.A.), but I doubt you\u2019ll see another 2011 Elise. \r\n\r\nIf you have never purchased an Elise before and you are thinking about buying one, IMHO, 2011 is the best year to go after for two reasons: (1) they are S3 models that were significantly redesigned and are, IMHO, are much prettier.\r\n(2) 2011 is also the last year Elises were imported to the United States, making the cars one-year-only. FYI: Lotus continued to sell variations of the S3 Elise in Europe through 2019.\r\n\r\nElises are still so under-the-radar that prices have not gone up considerably yet, but, believe me, that day is coming. And Scott\u2019s Solid Green Elise is so clean that I would hope it sets a record amount on for Elises on BAT. \r\nAnd if it does, I believe it will go up in value even further in the next few years.
