There are a few things they will require but it's not impossible nor all that hard if you're willing to put in the effort. It starts with the VIN plate saying it's a 50 state car that meets California air standards, the second is a CARB certified catalytic converter(s) and third is some paperwork and patience. I suspect the VIN plate will say it's originally a 50 state car (most Porsche's do) but the exhaust would need to be modified for the cats. I don't think you would want to spoil such a beautiful exhaust but it could be done. Once the paperwork is in place, you go to the CARB referee and they will do an inspection, then the emissions test. The referee I had was very cool and passed my car. \r\n\r\nBased on the build and level of effort, I suspect this car would pass but only if a catalytic converter were installed but it's not impossible to do. The other alternative is to do the Montana LLC thing and title it there although I'm not encouraging people to do this. \r\n\r\nI hope this helps. I have over a quart of unreduced paint left over that will be included \r\n\r\n3. I did find a tech with a 6200 rpm redline. I need to see if it has been updated for a modern electronic tach input but that\u2019s easy for a Speedo shop. Cosmetically it is excellent and has the silver center button. \r\n\r\n4. Air conditioning\u2026\u2026. Obviously it has not been needed for me, in our climate and even in road trips to CA. However, everyone is different and if I lived in the south, I would probably want some way to keep the cabin cool. Im sure a factory style system could be installed but it sure seems like a lot of work when there are modern electric systems that work so well. First, you want the car to be as perfect and transparent as possible, then all the photos, videos, write up, comment responses, and STRESS! \r\n\r\nI kept thinking that I should do a leak down and an oil analysis but other things kept coming up and then you get that email from BAT saying \u201cyour car goes live tomorrow\u201d. Timing wasn\u2019t great with an out of country trip planned for a big birthday.\r\n\r\nSo I won\u2019t be able to do a leakdown this morning prior to the end of auction, but I can say this is a very meticulous engine rebuild with 7,000 miles, zero leaks, zero smoke and no strange noises. Oil has been changed annually, no matter the mileage. I always use Joe Gibbs DRIVEN synthetic racing oil. \r\n\r\n@Lord_Balfour_IV I always thought a dream job/hobby would be to design 911 builds. It\u2019s the building part that is the difficult, time consuming, and expensive part.
