It was the favorite in a collection of about 20 very nice \u201850\u2019s and \u201860\u2019s classics when I bought it after learning about it here. It\u2019s current owner is even more meticulous than I, and has been a wonderful steward of this beautiful car. He, his wife and young son have treated \u201cAmelia\u201d as a family member, with no expense spared to insure the car was maintained to the highest standard.\r\nThe color is truly stunning, and the richness of the factory correct Deauville cloth and genuine leather upholstery is the epitome of late \u201860\u2019s Cadillac luxury.\r\nThe owners have shared many stories and pics of their outings in Amelia over the past few years, and I thought they would sooner part with their first born than with Amelia. In fact, a friend of mine from the Cadillac LaSalle club saw the car at a show and contacted me asking me to put him in touch with the owner. I said \u201cOK, but he\u2019ll never sell\u201d. Even an offer of $60K did not buy the car at that time. But, circumstances change, and this young family has decided that the time is right to pass her along to the next caretaker.\r\nIf you\u2019re serious about owning this generation of Eldorado you won\u2019t do better than this one! Funny story but my father just completed a total restoration of his 1939 Chevy that\u2019s been in the family since new and I must say, my father gets pretty annoyed that Amelia receives more attention than his at all the shows. Having a unique color is what is so cool about this car.
