Also would worry about damaging the original paint when it comes time to removing the clear. A full CLEAR wrap makes it easy to wash, no waxing and I can take my kids to school / play dates without freaking out each time they get in and out of the car. My plan was to use this car as a daily driver and make sure the paint always stays original. To me, a car without 100% original paint, is not something I would ever buy. When you find a 30 plus year old car with all original paint, wrapping it the first thing you should do, especially before letting any mechanic breathe on the car. Once a car goes to a body shop, anything can happen. For the record, my 911R, 930 Turbo and my Red 87 Carrera with 12,429 miles are all fully wrapped. There is a right and wrong way to do a wrap. The right way is to have the car clayed then polished (paint correction expert) to perfection prior to installing the clear wrap. I choose Xpel Ultimate Plus because in my opinion it lays on really nice, the 5-year warranty and I can see no bubbling or lines. On the flip side, I have had wraps removed (professionally) and even cars with clear bras from 30 years ago, the wrap comes off nicely.
