Handle really well while being comfy. My 1st car was an '83. Red with the fender flares and the other seats, but it's the same engine, trans, and chassis. Lotus helped sort the chassis for Toyota, and it shows. I have a 1983 Performance type and it's truly incredible how similar, yet vastly different the Luxury type is from the P-Type. They both drive great, but even with the manual transmission the L-type is a completely different experience due to it not having the LSD, lower gear ratio and wider wheels/tires of the P-type. Another huge difference is the lack of any side bolster support in the L-type seats compared to the sport seats in the P-type. Both cars are certainly classics though and they have aged better than almost any other car of their time. Well bought @Ludwig123.
