Oil changes, tires, brakes, and other wear items alone can account for a lot. I recently sold a 16-year-old Toyota and pulled out all the receipts to give to the new owner. They totaled $13k, on a car that had zero mechanical failures. How much more would it have cost for another 14 years of ownership? Cars are expensive to own, period. This looks pretty reasonable next to certain low mileage German cars where the seller has $20k in receipts from the last year or two. Do the recommended maintenance and they ran like a top.\r\n\r\nAnd that V6 is wonderful. Plenty of power and silky smooth. This would make a great daily driver with a fairly low cost of ownership.\r\n\r\nBe happy this one doesn't have the automatic temperature control. Replacement control units for those were expensive and hard-to-get then.
