The NorthStar head bolt issue was fixed by then. This block also was semi-closed and had more robust head bolts which prevented those issues. Like any Northstar Cadillac they do have some leaks (engine, hubs and diff). Cooling was a big issue for these cars especially the early ones (06-07), saw a lot of radiators and cooling fans replaced. There were some other interior quality control issues around 50k miles (Nav issues, cruise control, etc.) But to some it up yes more reliable than pre-2000 Northstars. Anybody who has owned a 90s-2000s Cadillac will know there are some things that pop up here and there.
