That said, the \"automatic\" used in the Vantage is an electrohydraulically-operated version of the Vantage's manual gearbox (single clutch). It doesn't work well in automatic mode -- it works MUCH better in manual mode using the paddles. If you drive it like the automated manual transmission that it is, which requires more input from the driver, it works pretty well in manual mode. It was improved during the VH-generation Vantage production run, but it was always a single clutch automated manual. The other VH-generation cars (DB9, DBS, Virage, Rapide and Vanquish like this car) used a conventional ZF torque-converter automatic -- completely different. If you want an automatic, these work much better as an automatic -- that's what it is -- than the Vantage 'box does. The campus looked like a country club, everything was perfect. 10 miles down the road is UNC Chapel Hill, tuition even for out of state kids was literally 1/2 price. Both great schools but I can't see undergrad being worth 150-300K anywhere. If you were in state then UNC Chapel Hill dropped to like 10K a yr! Of course a Duke alumni was doing interviews as part of the admissions process. She was a veterinarian saying how at age 48 she was still paying her student loans! No thanks!\r\n\r\nMoral of the story: My kids went to the highest ranked state schools for free and I'm on my 2nd brand new 911. Yes, if it sold at $70,000 with an $80,000 loan against it, that's a problem and deal most likely would not close, unless seller paid the shortfall to the lender. However, I really doubt that would be the case as most lenders do not loan 100%+ on a car loan. Regardless what your selling. If the car was sod at $70,000 with a $45,000 loan, then seller only nets $25,000 after satisfaction of lien, which would be a direct payment to the lien holder. I am confident in saying that I'm sure many BAT sales have had liens on them, and handled in this manor. It should have absolutely no reason to Dr value the car. I'm willing to bet that many of the purchases will be done with borrowed money.
