If I didn't already have a full garage including my E90 and E30 318is (plus a son in private college), you would not be seeing this fine specimen of Bavarian machinery. \r\n\r\nI've driven Hedwig many times, including our trip to NOLA for the BMWCCA Oktoberfest. She ran flawlessly and got quite a bit of attention. I'm amazed at how tight this car drives. The steering feel is excellent, shifter is very precise with positive throws, the motor is very responsive and pulls stronger than you would think. It's impossible to not have a huge grin on your face after driving her. Let go of a 964 two years ago. Would prefer a 1993 900 SPG but hard to find one that has not been rode hard and put up wet everyday of its life. I always have admired the 2002. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner and driving this fine car on Saturday 2/10. Extremely strong engine. No smoke after initial start. Tight steering. Brakes work as expected. Interior is in great condition. for age. Headliner has stains but is tight. Back seat looks near new. Side panels are solid, maybe a little dingy. Doors close solidly. Nothing janky or loose in engine compartment. Clean and tight all around. Believe there may be some minor oil seepage. Paint itself is solid. A few blemishes, owner called 'cracks'. Personally not sure if it was a prep issue. Not a paint expert. But didn't seem like rust. (AFTER reviewing photos again, I am pretty confident that the owner has shown every blemish that I saw) Car sits beautifully, color is excellent. Has auto choke and started right up cold. Great exhaust note. New owner may want to replace some gaskets (trunk seal, door seal) but nothing big or daunting. Glass seals looked good/have been replaced. Will be bidding on the car. Have a price in my mind. Current owner is a fastidious soul and a great car nut. Have no reason to believe he is not being anything but 100% honest. After processing the drive, it was hard to believe that its 42 year old car. A heck of a value for a fine vintage car. Would like to see owner get highest and best price for his car. If that is me, great!
