Very nicely done - few left with this much time and attention invested.\n\nI am a big fan of these and have owned 2 V8's and currently own a 1986 Turbo Esprit (standard sunroof that year). I love the way they drive and look - and have found Esprits to be very enjoyable and mostly trouble free. \n\nI am 6'5\" tall with most of my hight being from hip to knee. I fitted two Lotus Elise seats in the same color leather as the interior. I picked up considerable interior space / leg room and the seats actually look like they belong there. (I preserved the originals of course). Sure it's tight, ...but it's a fun tight and allows me to drive the car comfortably. I do not fit and cannot drive an early Esprit with stand seats fitted - unless the seat rail is removed and seat is mounted to the floor (...which is another option). I would say 6'2\" would about the max. to drive an early Esprit comfortably without some sort of tweaking. I also added a quick release hub to the stock steering wheel, which rests approx. an inch and a half closer to me, allowing for more room underneath the steering wheel. The S4, S4s, and V8's are a little more roomy and do not require these mods. for me to drive them - but would still benefit from a similar fitment. \n\nThere is something about the design of the early G cars (like this one) that I really like. After owning the V8's and learning about the seat mods. and Esprits in general, I have really enjoyed going backwards into the early body style Esprit that I first fell in love with as a kid. The design is very pure, and raw ...and timeless. It still says Wow to me. I have accumulated most of the rare parts to do the ChargeCooler mod., but chickened out completing it during my engine out service a couple years ago. I like things to remain as stock as possible (save seat mods. so I can actually drive it) and held off doing the upgrade assuming I would harm my potential future resale with most purists panning the notion of the ChargeCooler fitted. It is interesting for me to see so many positive comments regarding this performance upgrade. Perhaps I should just keep the car forever and just get it done... Not that I think the car needs it. I am sure the added 50 - 60 horsepower would be nice - but she scoots just fine and dandy right now. Hope this post helps anyone interested in Esprits.
