When I tell you this car drives incredibly, I mean it. INSANELY tight. Cruises down the road incredibly and the 1.9 motor gives the car plenty of pep. The car is incredibly clean, and all original. A tiny bit of wear around the window on the top. Did keep the car outside twice in the rain and am happy to report that we found no water inside of the car what so ever.\r\n\r\nThe motor and other mechanical components are incredibly clean as you can see by the photos. We did nothing under the hood here for the photos...this is exactly as the car was received, which says a lot. No evidence of leaks or anything of that sort.\r\n\r\nYes this car is from the north, but it was garaged, and it shows. It is super clean throughout. The interior has no odors of any kind. The recirc button came off while it was being detailed and that was the last we saw of it =)\r\n\r\nHappy to post underbody photos, will get those up tomorrow. It is very clean.\r\n\r\nAs you can see by our past listings we sell a whole bunch of Z3's and Z4's. This one was acquired as part of a collection of BMW's, and is one of a few Z3's that this collector had. When you go to buy a car at a dealership, 99 percent of them have fees. We are predominantly a wholesale company, and offer wholesale to the public prices. In 2008 when the state started charging a ton for paperwork we had to pass on the cost, so we charge a $499 doc fee. We WAIVED this fee for every BaT sale (and still do). However, when audited last year by DMV we ran into what turned out to be a major issue. We gave temp plates to everyone who paid the $499 doc fee, and to BaT buyers who did not. Legally this is considered a discriminatory action, and violates the law. As a result, any time a temp plate is now printed, we must show that the $499 was collected. Everything else included in our doc fee is included gratis to BaT buyers. We never even posted this but for some reason people assumed each car came with a temp plate, which it did not, so BaT now asked that they post this. \r\n\r\nTo be clear the $499 is not at all mandatory, and we have titles out within 24 hours of receiving payment so the buyer can register their car and obtain plates. Since most cars get shipped to the winner, they have plenty of time to get the plates before the car arrives.\r\n\r\n@rlenihan that is how it closes, and latches shut. Super common on the early Z3's. I am sure this is something that can be adjusted. I kid you not when I say this is thee best driving early Z3 we have ever had. This car is TIGHT and a ton of fun to drive. It was a really good experience.\n\nHad never owned one and had never even seen one.\n\nMy Z3 arrived a few days ago and my initial impression is that it is a very neat and cool vehicle. And a lot of vehicle for the money. And an absolute blast to drive.\n\nOnly two negatives that I have found are the sagging glove box (really not bad on my Z3) and the spare tire access. I was unaware that the spare tire could not be accessed from the trunk. It has to be lowered to the ground and accessed from the underside. There are some videos on youtube of how it is done.\nI plan to carry some Fix-a-flat.\n\nOne other addition to @vantageauto comment about registration.
