I loved it but sold it as I wanted a track day car, bought a 996 GT3 about even cost at the time, not anymore, lol. I did track mine a few times and had a friend who was a bit slower than me with his white one. I found I could push hard for 3-4 laps and then the electric drive would shut down. We worked it out so I would then swap cars with my buddy and I would finish the 20 minute session in his car. He would then go out in mine that he was charging and he would further charge it running it at his slower pace. After he was done I would get my car back nearly fully charged so I could rince and repeat. \n\nI actually was able to run almost exactly the same times as I run in my 2017 M2 when the car was fully juiced up for those 3 hot laps. Not so bad. \n\nNow I still have a i8 but it is mounted on the wall. It was one of the dealer full scale hollow display models.
