While in Spain in 1973 (Rota, Navel Station) I was a passenger in a Midget when the driver hit a large pot hole causing the car to flip over. Going about 50 mph we slid about 100 feet upside-down. All glass was shattered however the windshield frame served as a roll bar and did not buckle. The driver was unhurt (he was drunk) and I only got a scrape on my right shoulder. Besides this a friend rolled my Spitfire - so no dull moments in the Navy.
