If you have experienced the Corvair QS box and arms you would probably appreciate the option, as it reduced the ratio from 5.5 to a little less than 3 turns. This is 1965 domestic steering technology, don't expect rack and pinion feel, this is a classic after all, so maybe purists should stick with something else.\r\n \r\nThe Corvair front end is light and a too quick steering might cause an inexperienced driver of a rear engine rear drive vehicle to get in over their head. \r\n\r\nThis motor compartment is nicely detailed with few minor issues. I would look closer at paint left front and door gaps, but this is a comfortable price at present. \r\n\r\nA \"purist\" may not like the new upholstery as is, but the Grand AM seats are probably more supportive or comfortable than the OEM seats. \r\n\r\nFor the poster who commented on bad brakes that was specific to your car, as the second gen 1965-69 Corvair used larger GM car sized brakes and was many hundreds of pounds lighter. Properly maintained this is a very good brake system, sure disc brakes look cool, but they are not needed, except for extreme driving or road racing, but then the purist wouldn't like that either.
