The Fairlady Z32 is one of the most timeless exterior designs to me. It still looks modern today. Yamashita of Nissan hit a homer with his team on this one. With the rarity of the Convertibles, it saddens me to see the body kit and badge removal from an investment standpoint, but I am sure Paul Walker would approve. To each his own. Make sure the Timing Belt has been done accordingly (60K) and check the trunk/convertible top storage area for water/moisture damage as they were prone to leaking. I found out through some research that these cars especially need non-ethanol gas as the fuel injectors are not designed for it . That is similar with many older cars and collector cars. Once I learned this and used non-ethanol gas the car has had no further issues with fuel injectors. As far as my occupation I am a auto body technician. I did all the work to the body my self as well as all the upgrades. Mixed feeling about the body kit, and not sure how those wheels/tires survive MN potholes! Had a '93 'vert myself, until 2013 when a lady totaled it blowing through a light. (Very glad I didn't have a passenger with me, they would have gotten it bad) Mine had a TT spoiler on it, which I felt really made the look. Apparently Nissan never offered the convertible with the TT due at least somewhat to the Fed rules on crash testing, etc - too expensive for a limited market. (Must perform all tests with all power combinations offered) As for the injectors and ethanol, ethanol does destroy the originals, (and most everything else not designed for it, thank you politicians that forced it on us) , but I was told the newer, ('95 or '96) injectors will perform fine, and mine was switched to those in the late 90's, no problems. (wondering where you could get non-ethanal gas in MN, was outlawed for street use when I lived in MN and very hard to find - thanks again Pols.) Had about 78K on it when totaled. Never had any leaks in the trunk as someone mentioned, but then it was only in the rain about half dozen times when on road trips Got washed weekly though. Rarely drove it with the top up, found it was quieter top down up to about 65 than with it up. Past about 65 or so, up was a bit quieter/calmer, so on road trips on the Interstate, at 80mph, it was usually top up. At 80, it was hard to notice you were moving, so smooth. Miss that car. Other than oil changes, car required very little maintenance. Someone is going to get a fun, reliable ride here.
