In 2020 RJR added intrusion bars for more strength and driver safety. They also have maintained the car the entire time i have owned it ( 15 years) so whenever the chassis needed any updates or repairs ( IE: stress fractures - new hub Bearings -Rod ends-Spherical bearings -etc) those were taken care of as they deemed required or aged out. I have never crashed this car, so it hasnt had any damage to the frame.\r\nI have an extensive binder for all repairs and parts purchased/ updated over the past 15 years. ( FFDC- Formula Ford Drivers club) had an Engineer ( Todd S.) that races with us do an extensive study on a few different tires ( Hoosiers-Avons-Toyo's and the AR slicks ) as we were trying to get the racing costs down and not slow down at the same time. We were running the ARs and they are very sticky for a day or so and then they just go off. The fast Drivers were changing tires every weekend ( $1200.00) The test performed on the Hoosiers and even the Avons showed almost identical lap times ( maybe a second slower) but the huge advantage was the Hoosiers lasted for 4 or 5 weekends and they didn't go off like a light switch like the ARs did.
