There was a shaped step down in front of the axle, no axle hump except at edges over frame rails ( flat in middle) with oval hole over differential, and a shaped step down over back of gas tank. The flatter floor in it now would be much easier for restorers to make. The movie people saw the car while out scouting the location for filming and simply had to have my friend's car be featured as Arthur's personal car in the movie.
