If you're really serious about RVing it & rolling up miles, I'd suggest finding an Allison 2000 series out of an old U-Haul JH. There's not as much to it as you'd think, trans ECU, 12 volts/ground & speed/TPS signal from the truck. Otherwise bulletproof, only thing that'll stop a GM TBI from running is fuel pump & distributor pickup.\n\nThat Honda RV generator is something I've never seen before, wow! To my knowledge, the heaviest-specced truck that ever came with an 80 was the OBS F-Super Duty, way short of this beast.\r\n\r\nInterestingly enough, you can get a Detroit Locker-style diff for this rear end. My International 4700 crew cab has one & it makes more of a difference in wet grass/sand than you'd think.
