This car has \"sweep cut fender styling\" (first found on the 1954 Olds 98 2 door coupe) and Cadillac was so adamant that sweep cut should not have skirts they installed wheelhouse arch stainless molding around the openings on these Cadillacs. If you've ever seen a 56-57-59-61 Chevrolet with skirts, or a 57 or 59 Pontiac with skirts you know what I mean-they are not to be. You will also notice this \"C\" body Cadillac is one styling cycle ahead of the \"A\" body Pontiac-Chevrolet and for 1958 Pontiac and Chevrolet will adopt this cars roof and it's slanted back \"A\" pilar. The 57-coupe seen here in my opinion is the best looking G.M. car of 1957. Ran great, Can't remember how much was restored but I believe the hardware was replaced along with a very nice paint job.\r\nthat the Cadillac \"V\" symbol is the same symbol used for the Uptown motors logo, and Irving Pentler went crazy when he saw this car and had to have it. paid about twice what it was worth at the time (But remember you could get all kinds of rare muscle cars for under $20,000 then)\r\nThe storage facility was not too far from the dealership, lots of nice cars in there, Not sure if all of them belonged to the family or not (It would be nice if you could inquire about others if they are still in possession of them, a rare firebird was one of them).
