This third generation body style is gorgeous, it's low and wide, has a great kick up on the rear quarter, wonderful shaker hood scoop, very aggressive looking car. I'm not really sure how much power that 440 puts out, but I'm sure it's enough to light up those tires, which I would do often if it were mine. Great car, can't wait to see what it will bring. But I will say a few things regarding the rarity and options for anyone interested.\n\nA six pack Cuda is a rare car already. But this one is particularly rare in that it is both an N96 (Shaker) and A22 (F and R rubber bumper) car. This car also features the RED shaker and side view mirrors, a relatively unknown special order package called the \"Rally Red\" option, which made shaker, bumpers, and mirrors all matching red. The only color that you could get with all those painted to match the body in 1970. I know, because my 440+6 Cuda (commonly called a six-pack when in fact only the Dodge division owned that name for their cars) was optioned this way and was a 2 tag Rally Red option car (needing two tags to hold all the option codes). My car was special ordered by a salesman who wanted a car to show as many options as available, including rare leather seats and overhead console. \n\nAnd yes, if it was a CA order car, it was only available with dual turn-down exhaust, though almost all CA dealerships readily converted the cars for customers (after delivery) to the quad chrome tips and rear valance. \n\nTo have a car of this rarity with a verified original engine, transmission, factory paint, and all these correctly coded and still surviving options on the car, makes it a rare and desirable car, at least in Mopar land. \n\nI sold my car for a great price quite a while ago. It later sold at BJ auction (I believe in 2010) for $135k (it was more or less a show level restoration, though not a matching numbers engine - and sold with that honest representation). It was offered for sale on eBay in 2013 for $150k. \n\nAssuming all claims of originality can be substantiated with paper documentation and physical number review (which is critical with these cars), correct metal (not aluminum) fender tags, build sheet, and DMV ownership records, you are looking at a very rare and desirable car that is worthy of respect. \n\nRegarding the originality of the paint, checking with a paint gauge is always a good idea but this color mismatch is rare to see from the factory on original paint cars, simply because if it was that notable when new, a new owner would have demanded it be corrected at the dealership - especially if it was a highly optioned/priced car like this. Again, this is just my speculation, some years of judging Mopars, more than 10 owned in my collection, and seeing several top level E body factory original cars. I made a token search for them. No worries, here's where it gets back in the black. Galen's office has been ask for help. GTS has my credit card, and new tags are coming from GTS .. Galen's Tag Service. California built 440-6 rarely ever had a build or broadcast sheet. This pre-sold special ordered cuda has the rare broadcast sheet. With significant documentation including the broadcast sheet GTS has taken my order for new tags, while I search for the misplaced tags. You know this man and his position in the Mopar community. He does not make tags for unworthy cars. This developing during the auction. Like I said BaT started the auction early. Tags are ordered; credit card on file, GTS tags will come with the purchase of this car.\r\nWhile this world class cuda unfolds on BaT, know this ... GTS has reviewed my documentation back in 2005. It took this auction and 2017 to finally get me to order the replacement tags. In 2005 The only thing seen out of place in the fender tags codes was the rallye dash. A rallye dash is not on the broadcast sheet or the tag(s) codes. No worries, this pre-sold special ordered cuda with three separate contracts clearly document the rallye dash ordered and paid for. Clear writing on contract shows the free installation of rallye dash ... Again, on contracts but not shown on broadcast sheet or tags. Dates on the contracts support and statements support a factory mistake caught and corrected before drive off. Not hearsay, all documented and in GTS hands.\r\nGTS has these documents along with tags order, decoding will be done again as in 2005, all up to date and for the buyer's satisfaction. again, early auction has created less than a smooth presentation. Know this, neither the tags order or the rallye dash supported facts harm the value of this Cuda. It's all coming together. Please have patients.
