The poor purchaser was in a serious depression for a long time.\r\n\r\nHaving driven a 300 turbo diesel for 27 years and over a quarter million miles, I know a bit about this type of Mercedes diesel. While I agree that they can be incredibly durable, that's only true if you do proper maintenance. The care and attention that this vehicle didn't seem to receive would keep me away from it.\r\n\r\nOn the question regarding the spacers (and whether the wheel offsets are correct), minimally they'd require a complete alignment check and, worst case, they'd prevent a proper alignment (more likely) so the car will have accelerated (and likely uneven) tire wear.
