Not the 1969 - 71 facelifted 2000 that had a 2002-ish style dashboard, gauges, console, quad for US or large projector for Euro headlights, fully sealed and greased CV joints instead of that problematic inner U joint. Also looks like the long neck differential.\nMight there be a dyno sheet? In this trim, BMW rated their engines from 140 to 170HP, DIN. Weight was in the 2300 - 2600 lb range.\nThe VIN is also curious, starting with a 14 yet a 1968 model. The stamped ratio on the differential is 11 42, so 3.90 is my take on the ratio. The 5-speed is a 245 harvested from a 320i. The igniter and coil are both Petronix units. When the owner purchased the 2000Ti in 1985, the body was in primer. He painted it green, rebuilt the engine and drove it as a daily until 2000 when he started the restoration. There was a Norris 301 regrind cam iirc to approximate the NLA factory 300. The left rear boot had synthetic gear lube installed. It has been refilled with non-synthetic gear lube which seems to have solved the issue. The head lights do have a relay installed. Picture #73, the paint was chipped during trunk lid installation. Picture #190 the small area in the trunk well is the only repair in that area, there was no repair done or needed in the rear shock towers. No rear end accident after it was painted or even before. There is a small dent above the bumper and behind the left over rider, the owner thinks it might have been done while in storage.
