It was a very pleasurable experience. I still remember meeting the seller @gsfent at the airport and watching the car drive away. I had bought my next Ferrari and having two seemed like a lot (at the time). \r\n\r\nIn my ownership I had commissioned with Forgeline to make the one-off wheels for it. As did I with the Daytona style front seats, burgundy carpets and black Alcantara headliner. Those additions took this car over the top back in the early 2000's. I think those changes still stand tall, and were done by fine craftsman of quality product. \r\n\r\nTo drive this car with the Tubi and gated shift was/is epic. The T delivers all of the Ferrari goods like no other Mondial. And the color, I always got complements one after the other.\r\n\r\nI had tried three different exhausts yet settled on the Tubi. It had a Borla, and then custom straight pipes, then lastly the Tubi that it still has. All three were good on their own but the Tubi remains. \r\n\r\nI won a Ferrari event held at a dragstrip with this. They put me up against a Testarossa and the Mondial T won. I still have the trophy! This Mondi ran a best of a 13.9 in the 1/4. Strong 3.4 liter. \r\n\r\nI had also replaced the center console face with what was believed to be the last original fiber optic face available. \r\n\r\nThe car was so luved and adored. I brought up two young Sons in the back seat of this gem. Taking them to Ferrari events, and road trips (try that in a two seat Ferrari). It really delivered the goods. \r\n\r\nAgain, I sold it to @gsfent and have known him to be a good steward of this car. I had an error light a couple of years ago and had the shocks pulled and sent to Captain Z who did the original metal gears on all the shocks. Confirmed all was good. Best guess was a bad connection to the dash light. I never noticed much difference in the suspension settings to be honest, but that could be in part due to the heavier Forgeline wheels and bigger tires. \r\n\r\nSunroof is sticking so currently it is NOT opening. The motor is working, and it doesn't leak, but I didn't want to get too aggressive with it right before the auction. I rarely opened it and I was happy to keep if closed as it did not leak and I have a convertible for open air motoring. So I had BaT list it as not currently working. I have a box of spare parts including sunroof parts which I will include, but the sunroof motor and cable were replaced about 5 years ago when I had the entire roof removed as it had to be repainted from a prior owner's repainting.\r\n\r\nWindows work fine, passenger a little slow but after a couple of runs up and down it speeds up nicely. Driver window no issues at all as it gets used more. \r\n\r\nI can't tell you if I have original keys ( I am not the original owner), but I have two folding black plastic keys and I believe both have the \"horsey\". The one key I have with me does have the horse. I would have taken care of it earlier as I have a great body shop (they do high end Palm Beach dealer cars, car collectors, etc. and since I helped them with some business problems years ago, I get treated pretty well!), but when I contacted BaT, there were, uh, let's say overly optimistic about how long it would take to get the car listed. I didn't want to delay pictures and then after the pictures were taken, I didn't want to have anyone claim something was misrepresented or I was trying to cover something up. \n\nThen when BaT finally ready, I was travelling so it just took a lot longer to list the car than I expected. Hence the repair was not done.\n\nI am sure this is under $1000 repair (based on past work on my cars and my relationship with the body shop) and I am glad to work with the winning bidder if they want to have it handled here before picking up the car. We would just need to add some time (2-3 weeks most likely) to get the car scheduled in then get it done (about 3-5 days to do the actual work from past experience).\n\nI know of your passion/addiction!! I actually considered a grey 3.2 coupe you had for sale BEFORE I bought this car. Many come from other manufacturers and are much more reasonably priced. For example, the side mirror switch comes from an E28/E34 BMW. I had an electronic component for the Mototronic box go bad. Pricing was over $1000. After some internet sleuthing, I found a reference to a much older part number. Picked it up for under $100. After confirming it worked, I bought a spare!! No slight to \"resale red\", but you just don't see many Ferrari's of any type in this color. \r\n\r\nWhen I bought the car from Michael B 10 years ago, I promised to take good care of it. It is like it becomes a member of the family. As you note, it is an honest example and the best thing is drive the car to keep it young. It is happiest cruising down the highway, you and the car not having a care in the world!\r\n\r\nNot sure I mentioned this, but i did the \"hot start\" Bosch relay (WR-1) some time back. No hot start issues, but for about $30, it was one of those \"why not just to be safe\" items. It takes the electrical load off of the starter circuit to make it easier for the car to start. While most recommend the relay and fuse go above the right rear wheel for easy access, I had it put in the trunk, on the board against the rear seats where the two Motoronic computers are.
