This fine example looks to be in extremely nice condition and I think it will continue to appreciate in value in the future. I purchased the Seville from the family of long time second owner that purchased the car when it was about a year old. The Seville was a local Los Angeles area car and was meticulously preserved by the second owner when I found the car it was parked under a car cover for a long time. I installed a battery, fuel pump, cleans the fuel tank and resealed and replaced fuel injector O-rings and it started right up. The car runs, drives, shifts perfectly and serviced the A/C with R-12 refrigerant. In 1977 to 1999 I worked at a Cadillac and Pontiac dealership locally as a tech so I\u2019m familiar with these vehicles. I have no service records from the previous deceased owners family so I\u2019m not sure what was done except if you look at one of the photos you\u2019ll see a Pennzoil oil service reminder sticker showing the next service date and miles.\r\nAll the door panels and handles are intact, secured and in perfect condition and it doesn\u2019t look like it was ever taken apart. Please take a close look at the Burlwood on the door panels, steering inlay are all in perfect condition with no peeling or cracks. It is non smoker car ash trays, cigar lighters, dash pad, headliner, switches, seat belts, sill plates (Body by Fisher) door jams, seals, glass, windshield are all in perfect condition. The Vogue Tyres are brand new I installed and have only 30 (thirty miles) on them. \r\nI also replaced the power antenna mast so yes the CB power antenna works perfectly. It's one of the few tire designs that whitewall and blackwall guys seem to like. \n\nGenuine wire wheels were an optional accessory, and these have the stock 15\" size; no harm, no foul when fake wire wheelcovers were standard. The width is wider than stock but looks natural on the Seville because of the vast wheel openings. Upper middle class members & guests, many of who took a lot of pride in their cars. Cadillac\u2019s and Lincoln\u2019s along with Buick, Olds and Mercury were the preferred ride. A few Mercedes and Audi\u2019s as well. The king of the lot was the gargantuan DeVille and Town Car of the era of which there were plenty. The Seville was an absolute game changer when it was introduced. Whenever a new one would pull up members gathered around to inspect it. A few \u201c too small\u201d and \u201cnot a REAL Cadillac\u201d comments by a few of the really old guys but the middle age mend and women gushed over them. Within a year about 20% of the membership drove new Seville\u2019s. As a Valet we loved them. Easy size, responsive to drive and good visibility and easy to locate corners. I drive a few members to the airports in theirs and for the day they were a revelation. There were a couple companies (Herb Adams VSE) that made some chassis parts that could turn a Seville into a 4-door WS6 Trans Am, handling wise. When the Lincoln Versailles was introduced a few Town Car buyers traded for them but they were a weak effort compared to the Seville. When Cadillac replaced the Seville in \u201881 with the much larger, uglier and unwieldy bustle back was when we started to see more Mercedes, BMW and Audi\u2019s show up. Great cars that, despite their humble X-body roots were very well developed, thought out, appointed and for GM, well-built.
