Great runners, very comfy, but either get your wrenches or your wallet ready\u2026. Air ride failure is WHEN not if. $4k fix unless you convert to passive struts from Strutmasters. Rear tail light ballast blows and locks your steering! $800 unless the guy is still making the $15 wiring harness on the internet. Blend door on AC, another WHEN item. $800+ fix for a $15 part. Have to take apart your entire dash. Then it\u2019s never the same. Oh, and don\u2019t forget the shuddering transmissions! Going to Mercon 5 \u2018usually\u2019 helped but if not it\u2019s a rebuild. \r\n\r\nLike I said, great cars when they are running but don\u2019t buy unless you have an extra $10k at all times. This is NOT a car for someone on a budget. \r\n\r\nAnd mileage doesn\u2019t mean much with these. Was the first car I really cared about and tried to keep nice. I replaced the 1-2 accumulator and did the Jerry mod and that solved my shudder issues. I remember being forced to replace the headlight housings to pass inspection when I moved to Maryland. The housings are so narrow the bulbs burn away the reflective material, drastically impacting light output. Looks like at least one of the forums from back in the day is gone, shame because lots of knowledge on these has been lost to time.
