Sure, the engine's not original, but it's been replaced with a 1964 block, and the head and manifolds were retained/replaced like for like, which are the impossible to find items. Could do with Italian webers though. Front subframe has been replaced with the later NK/2002 variety - but the correct version has a very weak drivers side engine mount, so that's a positive for anyone interested in driving this beauty. Likewise the sliding rear half shafts have been swapped for reliable CV joints from a later car. And the fragile and hard to repair gearbox has been replaced for the same reasons. Then sold the engine to, iirc, a California buyer ~ 1995. One way to tell its mine is look for F11 emulsion tubes, possibly 130 or 135 mains 170 airs? Maybe 35 idle jets? Was a lot of years ago. Do remember doing a lot of jetting on it.\r\nThat engine I tuned with with 45 DCOE and, iirc, 35 venturies instead of 30, and the 300 cam dialed in right, lightened and balanced rods, with a much hotter than original ignition with Mallory dual point distributor and coil and Stahl header was a wildly visceral engine easily outrunning a well tuned stock cam Tii engine revving freely to 7300 and sometimes beyond.\r\nWould be need to find out where my old TiSA or engine ended up so many years later.\r\nBTW I still an original BMW factory valve cover and head gasket set in original factory packaging, if you get the car, its yours for free, just get in touch after the auction.\r\nOn track day in particular with that engine in a 2002 at Watkins Glen, Wow! The transmissions are extremely rare and are known to be somewhat fragile. Spare parts for them are thus basically made of unobtanium. Which is why most Tisa owners install the Getrag 235. While also relatively rare, the 235 is generally much more common, stronger, and has better parts support.
