The headliner in mine was also starting to fail up by the front mostly. I started with holding it in place with some pins. Then took it to a place in Port Orange that does upholstery and interior work. They gave me a brand new headliner - including the sunroof panel - and IIRC it was less than $500. Did the job in about 5 hours. Even matched the headliner material with the original color.\n\nOther things I did to my car was changed out the stereo to a double din Pioneer that plays DVDs, windows tinted, new battery (Everstart from Walmart), and prancing moose stickers on either side of the front fenders! And that's about it, so far. I also put the back seats down so I have the entire area behind the front seats open for transporting stuff, which I do from time to time. Oh - I also put a tow hitch on her! Still have to do the lighting harness, though. Never know when you'll want to tow something. I have motorcycles and a lightweight aluminum trailer, which this car could easily tow rather than use my '02 Silverado.\n\nSo yeah - the headliner isn't a big deal if you have a place nearby that does them. On white block motors we usually replace them every other belt mileage interval. We changed the belt to ready it for sale, so it was a bit early time wise. I have always recommended replacing the timing belts every 7 years or so due to age. I did, however, remove the water pump and replaced the gasket. I thought I had a pump in stock but didn't, and it looked and felt good so we left it alone since it had so few miles on it anyhow.
