Ice blasting removes this ugly but protective barrier but if you're going to the expense of ice blasting you are probably not driving the Porsche in inclement weather and reapplying the coating would be pointless. @Jhcunningham - we are having high winds and fires in the area. Of course rusted as it is unrepaired ( original?) as it has a steel frame with the fiberglass bonded to it and they usually get the paint peeled because of the excessive heat before someone puts on a better exhaust system ( Rarly8 etc). Also, the cause of engine fires and the upper areas of the engine cover needing to be refinished with cracking paint under the top coat of the multiple stage paint used in that time turning what was a race car design for group 4 into an emission passing 930. It almost certainly appears to be still in his name on a PA. title. The seller here has not owned the car since 2010, (questionable if he owns it now), and the rebuild photos were stolen off of the longtime owner's FB page. A lot of sketchy stuff that I'm surprised BaT allows to fly or doesn't do and due diligence on, based on the questions I need to answer when I sell here.
