While it\u2019s true that the Figaro\u2019s are all technically MY 1991s, many are in fact titled and registered as 1992s. Ironically, this example is the 5th 1992 MY listed to date here on BAT. They were originally only available through a lottery system in Japan. The initial 8000 units were quickly sold and due to overwhelming demand, Nissan decided to green light another 12,000 units with production running late into 1991. This particular Figgy was manufactured in August of 1991. The export certificate (Japanese title) reflects the month and year when the vehicle was first registered, which in this case is February 1992. Thus, it\u2019s titled 1992. There are other Figaro\u2019s which share the same story. It makes it that much more rare, in a sense, though it\u2019s just a technicality of chance that has to do with production and registration dates.\r\n\r\nIn regards to the car, it's a really nice example. My client installed brand new tires and just changed the oil in preparation of this sale.
