I know in the W201 and 124 cars the high speed electric fans kick in just below 100. So either these 5.6L V8s are set up differently or the high speed isn't coming on. On my 190E the fans (there are two electric plus the belt driven one) come on in two stages: 1. Low speed for when the A/C is on and ambient temps are high but coolant still cool and then 2. High speed for when it creeps near 100. We've had W108 and 113 cars in the family with no electric fans and on those around 80 meant cool, close to 100 getting hot and over 100 hot. Usually it's just a bad sensor or blown fuse on the cars with electric fans. I'm guessing chromed used wheels were less expensive than new reproductions in the correct factory silver color because otherwise that was a curious call. The OE rear muffler had black-out paint, the new one here is too shiny and sticks out like a sore thumb. I hit my new muffler with some flat black and it \"disappeared\".
