First off yes that is the battery box in front of the engine . I've built many interesting vehicles over the years . with this one I decided I would like a roadster . The concept started as an idea to go with something that resembled a track roadster and the nose instead of a model A or 32 Ford grill shell I designed this nose to resemble an indy style front from the fifties . All the body is hand fabricated use panels from two XJ6 donor cars . Sides and some of the back are door and quarter panel skins . The top edge of the dash is the rear section of the trunk lid . The nose is a narrowed section of the hood and 1974 grill ans it was shorter than the 1971 grill . The wind shield frame is fabbed from some of the sun roof surround . The frame is fabbed from 2x3 tubing with a 1/4\" x 2 \" strap weld down each side as the Jag engine weighed in at 625 LBs and caused a 1/4 \" sag in the frame ( no sag ) now . The interior is hand built and covered in a Burgundy leather salvaged from a ladies couch I purchased at the time . This sort of a labor of love for me and a fun project . I'm sort of reluctant to sell but I've decided I've had my many hours of fun with it . Time to pass it on to a lucky new owner who will receive many thumbs up when driving .
