These are great cars and 64 is the best year of the Flair Birds (to me at least). The drum brakes are more than adequate - it's not like you're tracking this car. If you really have your heart set on the sequential tail lights, you can get them installed - but it's not like you see them from behind the wheel anyway. The 64 doesn't have that front fender gingerbread that the 65 has and the taillight assembly has to be an all-time top 10 (the 65 is a little different and, for example, doesn't have the thunderbird insignias). The seats are super comfortable - I should know having recently completely a 600 mile trip in 40 degree temperatures. Whoever buys this beauty will find any excuse to head off to the garage and go for a drive - my wife doesn't even ask where I've been when I take out the trash but don't return until 15 minutes later.
