He had one younger brother, his dad worked in an office and his mom was a housewife. He wore blue jeans, but if they showed any fading, they were thrown out and new ones bought, He ironed them. When he got home on the weekends, his mother met him at the door and took his laundry and when he got ready to head back to school all of his clothes had been washed, folded and either hung up or in his dresser. Both of my parents worked blue collar jobs I had been doing my own laundry since 7th grade. Dad had worked on his and friend's cars since he was a kid. We grew up learning to work on cars alongside dad. My roommate's father decided to get him a car to drive back and forth to school, but they weren't a \"car family\", cars were appliances, emotions were not involved. My roommate asked for my help in finding him a used car. It wasn't easy because every time I looked for anything remotely fun, I was shut down. Finally, I found a '76 Civic hatchback, CVCC, 4 speed, about 60k miles, great condition in and out. Neither he nor his father cared about anything but the price and the mpg. I had to do the test drive as neither could drive a stick. The only downside was it was brown. An ugly dark brown with orange racing stripes on the side. Brown cars were, and still are, an abomination in my family. I was never allowed to drive it after I taught him how to shift. My mechanic asked me if I was sure that I wanted the timing belt changed because it required the removal of the A/C compressor. And getting the bolt in behind that compressor was very hard to get to. I said go for it and change the belt. He did this back in August and, well since it had set for so long, I wanted it changed. I pulled out the 'rear window defroster' switch. The red light came on and it warmed up. I shut it off. Now, I did video this above operation, but I put it on an SD card, but I don't know how to transfer that SD info/video to this device. But, I'll try and figure it out, but it won't be till tomorrow when I can get assistance.
