If the AC system was properly evacuated, refrigerant is all that should have been recovered. Then the tech should vacuum down the system for at least 45 minutes then close the vacuum pump valve and let the system stand for another hour to see if the system holds the vacuum or loses vacuum which would indicate a leak in the system. Can your technicians guarantee that this system does not have a refrigerant leak? Driving a car in Texas requires AC almost year round so this is very important to me before I bid on the car.
