As the seller was a well known car rebuilder in his area, I believed him; and bought the car sight unseen. When it arrived, it was indeed beautiful to look at; but was loaded with problems from the steering rack boots to the rear axle seals. It spent a year up in the air in my shop before it was straightened out. It also suffered from the worn out, rusted out, floor mounted throttle pedal hinge syndrome. I spent most of a day fabricating a new hinge and floor mount. I have been very proud of myself over that little fix until I saw the throttle pedal in this Midget. A brilliant and simple fix.
