To start with, the ASG is devoid of any \"bind\", and as such, does not impart any artificial spring rate into the rear suspension.\n\nS****, what is a \"jacked up roll center\"? With the ASG installed, there is only one roll center, and it remains fixed relative to the chassis.\n\nIf K**** car exhibited understeer, then I would have to say that his front suspension is not adjusted properly. Adjusting the car is not difficult. I\u2019ll try to answer them in sequence.\n\nI\u2019m in charge of Product Development at DECH and I\u2019m the designer of the ASG. Yes, the ASG will significantly increase rear traction and stability, and you will consequently have to tune/adjust the front suspension to match the level of traction provided by the rear of the car. This is accomplished through the use of appropriate spring and damping rates, alignments setting, etc.\n\nThe roll center as prescribed by the ASG is pre-determined and non-adjustable. After many years of testing and development, I have chosen what I deem to be the optimal location for the rear roll center. For any given car there is a window in which the ideal position of the roll center is located. Based on current technology and the data available to me, I have located this position for you \u2026 it is not necessary to change it. As with any racecar (i.e. Formula 1, the pinnacle of racecar development), once the car is developed during pre-season testing, the front and rear roll centers are rarely changed, unless there is something detrimentally wrong with the chassis.\n\nInstallation of the ASG does not require any changes to the rear upper control arms. The ASG was designed to work with the existing four-link rear suspension. B****, you are correct in saying that the rear upper control arms create bind, however the effects of this bind is a function of rear chassis roll - which is reduced by virtue of the ASG.\n\nAnti-squat is not a detriment when the right amount is used. Obviously, too much anti-squat is not a good thing for a road racing application. Sufficient anti-squat for a drag racing Mustang will make a pig out of a road-racing Mustang. Having said that, anti-squat is desirable if the right amount is applied.\n\nHello S****,\n\nI\u2019m sorry if I misunderstood your previous comments. I\u2019m not accustomed to the slang and computer jargon that some of you use. You seem to have a misconception about roll centers. For any given suspension there can be only one roll center. The multiple roll centers that you speak of do not exist. As a side note - depending on the design of the suspension, the roll center (singular) can move relative to the road or chassis. A good example of this is a panhard bar. In this example the position of the roll center is determined by the position of the panhard bar and where it intersects a vertical line drawn through the center of the axle. If you can visualize this you will see that as the axle moves up and down, and the angle of the panhard bar changes, the position of the roll center also changes. Although this \u201cpoint\u201d is moving, based on the positioning of the axle, it is still only one point. The advantage of the ASG is that the roll center does not move, its position is fixed, it stays exactly where I intended it to.\n\nI\u2019m not sure what the problem is that you claim the ASG \u201cdoes **** to alleviate\u201d. You\u2019re going to have to be more specific.\n\nI\u2019m also not sure what kind of vertical articulation you were feeling when you drove K**** car. The ASG\u2019s bespoke bushing has no influence on roll, and the ASG itself does not bind in roll. Therefore, it cannot impart a virtual spring rate.\n\nA Watts Link is a very good means of locating a solid axle, however, unlike the ASG it is not symmetrical. I was told by the Owner/mechanic (Hyper Automotive, Toronto) that had serviced the DECH for mostly it's entire life that the motor was a 347 Stroker. My seat of the pants told me this was no ordinary 5.0 however, I couldn't verify it, so I noted the DECH as a 5.0\n \nI just spoke with the Owner (Mike) of Active Engines who built the motor about 7 years ago. So the motor was approximately 2/3 years old when I purchased it however, the original owner had passed away shortly after the motor was installed and the entire drivetrain was rebuilt and refurbished to accommodate the new found power, his spouse kept the car at their residence un-driven after his passing. And since I've owned it, I have put very little KM on the car, less than 1000 km.\n\nHere are the details, the Owner of Active Engines remembers this car because it was the first DECH he'd ever built a motor for. I see rust has really taken hold of the car, although the floor pans themselves look fine. Yes, some surface rust (scale) in many areas along the rocker pinch welds, and at the \"frame\" areas at all four corners. I also see right side rear of the pinch weld area is rusted through completely and would not pass safety inspection in Nova Scotia (where I live) for that reason alone. Do I also see a hollow rear sway bar that is rusted through in several places: 1) just left of the rear diff cover, 2) about the middle of the diff cover, 3) at the position just behind the right rear exhaust pipe? Looks as well like the rear brake lines running along the rear axle to the wheel area are near failure point because of rust? And Inam wondering why the left side of the rear axle area has been \"left untouched\" while the right side looks like it had some black spray on undercoating applied? Also the front shocks outer sleeve is rusted and the rusted areas of the front springs reduce the metal strength (yield and ultimate) significantly. They will need replacing very soon, especially if spirited or track driving is in its future. Overall it looks to me like all the suspension components at all four corners have to come off, be cleaned up or replaced. And the underside of the car in these areas and along the pinch welds need to be media blasted, and some areas will need repair or strengthening. The condition of several areas of the body speaks for itself through the photos and your disclosures. It is a \"project car\" suspension-wise before one wants to drive the car as intended by the builder. I'm not intending to dish the car, only expressing my opinion of what I see and read. Despite the above, it is a significant piece of Canadian automotive engineering history and a very rare and beautiful car.
