For the most part, I try and let the photos do the talking as I like to think that, combined with my reputation for being a detail-oriented, OCD freak, the photos tell the story best. But not this time. This time I want to be clear. This is an incredible car.\n\nFull transparency as the Internet keeps no secrets. I bought the car at auction in 2020 and paid $165k. I did so knowing the car had real needs including paint damage and an iffy leakdown test. But it was an Ossi blue over red, Italian 911S with perhaps the most incredible Kardex I had ever seen. Quite frankly, In think I got a deal.\n\n4 years and huge $$ later, the car has been gone through nose to tail and is as good, maybe even better, than it looks in the photos. It's truly a need-nothing car and, in my opinion, a top 1% early 911.\n\nCouple notes:\n\nThe car is listed as showing 19k km and TMU. That's largely the result of the early records being in Italian and not 100% complete. That said, I personaly believe that the total mileage is 119k km. My reasons are as follows:\n\n1. The previous owner sold it as a 117k km car and that was his understanding when he acquired the car.\n\n2. There is nothing in the records that would contradict the mileage of 119k km.\n\n3. My engine rebuilder, Bob Jones of Jones Autowerks, stated that the engine had not been previously rebuilt and from what he observed the condition of the engine suggested the mileage was correct.\n\n4. The car has numerous original details that you just don't see on higher-mileage cars. The original, 69-only uncracked dash. The original, correctly marked windshield. The original, H1 \"raised script headlights\". And much. much more.\n\nOf course, I'll leave it to bidders to make their own determination regarding the mileage but, either way, the car performs and presents as a low-mileage car.\n\nI'm looking forward to the next week and the discussion that always happens when a great car is up for auction.
