I found the import process to be fairly simple, as I used one company (Mackie) for transport and import bonding and they handled everything. \r\nOne point of interest: Although Sunbeams were sold through Chrysler dealers, as soon as the Chrysler Corporation ended up fully owning Rootes Group, they wanted as few of their Ford-engined cars imported into their home market as possible. Chrysler shipped as many of the final run of Tiger Mk II's to Canada as they could. That's also why the \"Powered by Ford\" badge was removed and a gold Chrysler Pentastar was added just behind the right front wheel well (which this car seems to be missing). My car was \"brokered\" by Norman Miller (the recognized authority of TIgers) so I was confident of it's legitimacy. To quote a posting of a registry guy the original LAT optioned one has a different part number. The standard part number is 69024 several late MK1A's and MK2's have the 69024 H6 stamping. As inventories go the early number could be on either. Having been a partner to reproduce them they were my reverse engineering study for some time. \nThe lower water temp gauge probably was installed as old gauge does not work well with newer thermistor on block. The tip is to add resistors in line when car is at operating temp verified by I/R gun. I have not gotten to doing mine yet opting for a small tape line at 190 degrees. The who's who here is impressive with a couple of restorers and guys that use the same username on Sunbeam forums. I don't think they are admonishing the car just commenting as it truly is harder to find trim items for a MK2. 4 to 5 hundred for the headlight rings seems crazy but that is the going rate.
