I also changed the carpets to a marine grade mix so they will not mole if they get wet, and changed the door trim to black as well.\r\nI have installed a relay to ensure that the lightweight hi torque starter works correctly, changed the oil and generally serviced the car.\r\nAlso included are a set of 5 black 5.5 tube less wire wheels, from MWS in the UK which I bought for racing, but are unused.\r\nThere is also a new uninstalled Panhard rod kit, a set of Brooklands Aero Screens, Hood, Tonneau cover, and anything else I can find.\r\nPlease contact me through the \u2018Contact Paying 10% or so down, this means I paid about $2,000 for the 4/4. B1735 was the ID number. While in my possession I drove daily 47 miles to/from work...every day. Rain or shine. Once during my ownership England had a drought. I put the top down for FIVE - 5 - weeks. Ideal. The Brits were going crazy. Rivers drying up. Crops dying. You get the picture. As I recall, the car had a 4:56 rear end. It accelerated like heck...up to about 80-90 mph. Then the revs topped out. Great fun. Slow car driven fast = much more fun than a fast car driven slow. Possibly an error was having my good friend, Griff Griffiths (Porsche, Morgan, VW guy in North London), decamber the front end (torch, cut, insert lower piece, weld it all back together). When I went to sell the car, this was noticed. But I sold it for what I paid for it. It was yellow, similar to this 4/4. And rust bubbles were already showing along the panel sides near the rear fenders. To repeat: daily driver in England. Weak heater. No windscreen defroster. But hey, I was young then. Unlike the +4 Super Sport where there is a documented list of factory cars, I have never seen a list of Series V 4/4 Comp chassis numbers. The factory sheet on this car documents the exhaust header, the tach, louvered bonnet, full alloy body (a big plus for this car in my opinion) which certainly bring it close to comp spec. It is interesting there is no mention of the GT spec engine or the rear axle ratio (although not overly surprising and doesn't mean they weren't there - it is a Morgan...). However the car does have the proper dual throat Weber for a Comp. The rest engine wise would come down to compression ratio and cam - I would be somewhat surprised if its not a GT engine given the rest of the special bits. So, I like the way the seller has presented the car - a Series V with most, if not all to make it a Competition but without advertising it as such. To me, also like the seller, it seems to qualify as one. Everybody that had 60's 4/4 upgraded it with a downdraft weber and headers and now most have 1600 xflows under the bonnet. From my reading the Comp. cars had Selectride rear dampers and this has upgraded tubular units so this does not rule anything out. They typically did not have alloy bodies, but if you wanted that, I am sure Morgan would accommodate.
