I've reached out and I'll report back as soon as I have more info.\n\n @dino70089 - The valve covers are magnesium, and they naturally corrode like that. They've been cleaned up and powdercoated a custom color that looks similar to bare magnesium to keep the corrosion away for good.\n\nI'll ask about tools and books, and get a compression and leakdown test. As a form follows function guy, I now prefer without covers for the same reason Enzo did. They don\u2019t do much if anything for the car\u2019s speed, and come with drawbacks.
