Thank you for looking at my lovely little Toyota EXIV, a model most of you may have never even heard of. It is said, the name EXIV derives from the words Extra ImpressiVe and this is a special little car - a few bystanders have even asked \"Is that some sort of special Lexus?\" but the answer is no, it is a Corona model and even the Corona name hasn't been used in USA for at least 50 years. This was a special model, and not every Toyota dealer in Japan could sell them.\r\n\r\nMechanically, it shares nearly all the parts with the Toyota Corolla and Celica so virtually everything one might possibly need is immediately available.\r\n\r\nI have owned and used this car for almost exactly a year now - I have driven it about 16,000 kilometers which is about 10,000 miles. I have driven it from El Paso TX to Santa Barbara, California and even across parts of Mexico. It consistently delivers up to 39 mpg at 75 mph on the freeway and does so in relative quiet. The only reason for this sale is a new acquisition, a car so rare in USA that I never thought I'd ever see one, yet alone buy one - a RHD Celica Convertible which is my new \"forever\" keeper. All my daily drivers are Toyotas. I usually use my 500,000+ mile Tacoma and after half a million miles it looks a little rough although it runs perfect. My friends said I needed a respectable looking car as I am a single gentleman and had a lady refuse to ride in my truck one time!\r\n\r\nBut getting back to the EXIV, I bought it locally in Arizona from the man who imported it. It has a new timing belt, new tires, new battery, the brakes have been purged and bled. I immediately changed the oil, filter and ATF the first week I had it. Using full synthetic, I have also changed the oil and filter again last week, not \"in preparation for the sale\" as BAT likes to say, but simply because it was time again (every 4 - 5,000 miles.)\r\n\r\nI find that the car shows absolutely no rust or damage apart from some small rock chips and dings as shown in the photos. Please examine the underside photos \u2013 it doesn't even leak oil.\r\n\r\nI believe this car is ready to be driven anywhere in the country right now! That's right - you bid, you buy you fly into Tucson and drive it home!\r\n\r\nThe only change I would make if I kept it would be to the radio - it is a Japanese band AM/FM and I only get about 3 FM stations here (fortunately one is NPR). I think that refrigerant went into widespread use about 1994.
