Pretty reliable. The knock sensor wasn\u2019t capable of retarding individual cylinders. If ping or detonation is \u201c heard\u201d it retards all 4 cylinders. The air box thermostat, when bad, will drive the system crazy. While a member of Volvo Club of America this car received Best of Show at three National Meets and was featured on the back cover of Rolling magazine.
