If I recall correctly, there was a 1000 mile break in period. For the first 500 miles, you couldn't take it over 60 mph or something like that. Perhaps others with better memories can chime in here. \n\nIt was definitely interesting driving on the Autobahn as I'd only had my license for 6 months. The one thing I learned VERY early on was to STAY TO THE RIGHT! Nothing like a big Beemer or Mercedes or Porsche coming up from behind at 100 and change with its lights flashing like a mad man! It\u2019s still appears to be easily rectifiable as it appears restricted to easily replaceable portions.. \r\nKudos to @seller for pointing out all the blems on this car\u2019s finish.. Many of these outside scars don\u2019t show at all from the 20 and 50 foot shots.. I don\u2019t know the exact problem with the tranny and California Star advised it would be easier to replace it than to remove and repair. The issue is only apparent in the 2-3 shift where the tranny seems to want to take it\u2019s sweet time after disengaging 2nd before going into 3rd. So when merging onto the freeway, for example, I lift off from full throttle for a second or so and mash it when 3rd is engaged. In around-the-town part throttle driving the lag is noticeable but not out of line with the sedate pace I usually use (because all driving in town should be sedate, right?). The recommended suspension repairs are to address the occasional thump in the movement that I\u2019ve come to understand is NOT a feature of fine German engineering. It idles high for a minute or so and then drops down to normal idle.
