This is a \"one\" owner vehicle and started off as a lease and then later I paid cash to Audi Finance to buy it at the lease end. I'm the original owner and also the Seller. That's good news as I know the A6 4.2 as well as any try Audi enthusiast. While the vehicle started out in NJ, I have always had 4 to 7 vehicles at a time and always had 2 SUVs while living in NJ. The SUVs saw the snow while the A6 4.2 stayed in the garage any time it snowed. While in NJ I did not drive the vehicle until the snow had melted and ALSO not until rain washed the roads fully. So ZERO salt on this vehicle, and this is quite unusual. I moved to Houston metro in 2009 and then to Dallas metro in 2015. The car has been in Rockwall, TX since 2015, which is a suburb of the Dallas area metro (DFW), and though we have had only two snows of a half-inch and 2 inches in the last 9 years, the vehicle again did not see any snow and stayed inside that garage. Again no snow and no salt for the vehicle. Thus zero rust underneath. \n\nBTW - this is a NON-smoker vehicle and NO pets have been in the vehicle. Always driven by myself as well (one driver vehicle).\n \nGarage kept both at my homes as well as garaged at my offices in an assigned parking space. Thus, the only sun that the vehicle has seen was during drive time. \n\nI'll cover the incredible and maintenance the vehicle has had in other comments so that everyone knows no corners were cut and everything has been done properly throughout the vehicle's life. \n\nEverything works as new on the vehicle except for a tiny trunk lock button switch located on the driver side interior B pillar. The trunk can be unlocked by three other methods: 1.) with the remote fob; 2.) by unlocking the vehicle on the driver door unlock switch or 3.) by using the actual metal key from the key fob using the truck key slot on the truck lid. I never used that B pillar button switch, and two Audi dealers were not able to diagnose the issue. I did buy a new Audi replacement button switch from a dealer, but it did not correct the issue and the winner bidder will also have the new unused switch provided. So yes, the RS6 wheels will fit on this vehicle, but these original wheels on this A6 4.2 are the forged wheel type and both lighter and stronger than the RS6 wheels and most other wheels minus cheap cast wheels being produced in mass quantity in China today. This is absolutely not true and the only way to have any vehicle work well into higher mileage is to keep the ATF fluid clean on a regular schedule. This has been a very dependable vehicle, and realized by have meticulous maintenance. The vehicle has not thrown any check engine lights since the mass air flow sensor and all 4 oxygen sensors were replaced at 135,748 miles and last, the rubber vacuum lines throughout the engine were replaced at 177,373 miles. The vehicle has not had any check engine lights since those two incidents. I have not had any recent OBD scans since and then engine is running perfect. BTW - the engine uses less than a half a quart of oil in 5,000 miles. It was clearly a factory defect and were quite obvious that it was loose stitching. Regardless it took Audi about 4 or 5 months before Audi replaced it at no charge, and the regional Audi customer advocate wanted to see it in-person. They replaced the top leather cover and also one of the back nettings that is on the seat backs. \r\n\r\nOne special note about the A6 4.2 is that the entire seat, the seat sides and tops -- everywhere is full leather. Even the leather on the door panel is full leather and not lesser material. Zero vinyl material on these seats. Yes, the leather on these seats do look like they are one or two years old. It's in great shape for sure. The seats and their leather have been cared for. \r\n\r\nOne special note about the seats, I purchased a new Audi factory seat bottom foam cushion for the driver seat a few years ago. This was installed along with new foam in the driver seat back. Now the driver seat feels like it is new and the lumbar is more supportive than when the car was new. The lumbar adjustment is incredible and will make your back feel great. Most Audi's can go 350K to 400K miles with the main hoses intact. The only reason the heater hoses were replaced is because Audi uses quick-connect ends and the plastic on the connectors gets weak and leaks. These were replaced last year with original OEM new hoses from Audi. Pics of the new hoses from Germany are in the photos in the receipt section.
