VERY well equipped, but some oddities as well. I've observed that the dealer-generated window sticker is not *always* 100% accurate; hard to tell whether the sticker is missing some FACTORY options, or whether a prior owner added a bunch of stuff, either OEM or aftermarket. For example, the sticker doesn't list the carbon fiber wheel arches or CF mirror casings. Odd, right? And it lists an MSO special paint color, but there's no charge for it - can't imagine that McLaren gave it away for free. I've seen on other cars that a special MSO paint is around $10,234 on the sticker. Even \"Racing Green\" as a standard, non-MSO paint color is a \"Special\" paint, priced at $2,400 - but that's not on the sticker either. Just these three options would bump up the MSRP by over $8k.\r\n\r\nThen there are all of the extra carbon fiber bits, including some RARE MSO factory options, if they were installed at the factory: CF wiper zone, CF mirror arms, CF rear glass side trim louvers, but NO CF rear heat extractor (the \"armadillo\". On the interior, there's a rare CF steering wheel, super rare CF interior mirror and center roof switch surround, CF paddle extenders (aftermarket?), CF eyeball vents trim (aftermarket?), CF door entry pads, and CF steering wheel column surround (have never seen). So... who installed? Either way, SUPER cool, and VERY loaded.\r\n\r\nIn terms of this car's history, the carfax is also fascinating. It was shipped to Hawaii for one owner, then back?? I have a record of it being offered for sale on eBay by user \"blacklab2580\" in Eden, UT with 9,206 miles, asking $(154,990)(!!!), then again on eBay by user \"cannonclassics\" in Lindon, UT, with 10,000 miles, asking $105k. Interestingly, it had a CHROME wrap at the time (and the carfax shows a note that the color was \"gray\" earlier in the ownership trail).\r\n\r\nAs for condition, the service records are revealing. Someone clearly enjoyed this beast on the track - and good for them. They had a separate set of track wheels and tires, and installed a harness bar ($$$). But the seats are stock, so ... how did they route the belts? Did that owner have a racing seat(s) installed? Or just looped the belts around the electric seats (sub-optimal, and many organizations won't permit). Evidence of mounting/attachment points for harnesses? The rotors appear to be aftermarket, and may be in need of replacement; check the pads as well? There are a few other items on the service records that appear may not have been addressed?\r\n\r\nI love these 12C coupes (had a 2013 Spider, and currently have a 675LT). HUGE bang for the buck, and strikingly fast on the track (leave the 458 in your dust for half the price). At one point I had the rotors so hot that they deformed and needed replacing. OEM rotors were $3,300 EACH so I switched to Girodisc and they performed well. The message here is that this car was tracked so heavily that the OEM rotors did not last. \r\n\r\nOur 12C never had problems. After tuning a 570S twice, the new coated wiring was too close to the very hot engine and melted. This 12C is a very rare color that looks amazing in the day or night. I have owned it for a little more than 2 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I have done all servicing at McLaren of San Francisco or San Rafael European. \r\n\r\nThank you BigHeadDennis for noticing all the Carbon Fiber on the car. I was told by the Head of Service at McLaren San Francisco that the car was sent back to McLaren to get all the extra Carbon Fiber that was not available when the car was ordered. He thought with the MSO British Racing Green and all the extra Carbon Fiber that the msrp was around $315,000-$320,000. \r\n\r\nThe car has been to Sonoma Raceway a handful of times and Laguna Seca once. Most of the events were hosted by McLaren of San Francisco. I had a harness bar installed on the vehicle as well as a Recaro Pole Position Race Seat. When the stock pads needed to be replaced, McLaren recommended doing the rotors as well. I found out that every time pads are needed so are rotors. This didn\u2019t make sense to me so I decided to go with GiroDisc brakes and rotors which I have used on several vehicles. They are better brakes that last much longer. Pads can be replaced multiple times over the life of the rotors. The outside piece of the rotor can also be replaced without replacing the whole rotor. This is a great example, and IMHO, $89k was in range. Big plus in that it's a 2013 model year, with marked improvements over 2012 coupes, and it is loaded with a lot of carbon fiber options. The track use should not diminish the value, but unfortunately, some folks don't like it. 18k miles is nothing for these cars, and is arguably a good indicator that everything is working and reliable.
