This bike has been absolutely pampered by the previous owner and myself, and I would put it's condition up against just about any used motorcycle out there, even one that's only a year old \r\nI purchased the bike on consignment through a dealership in Florida. The original owner prior to me was in his 70s and had to quit riding due to back issues. He never took road trips on the bike and took the side and rear compartments off and wrapped them in blankets. They have never been used by either of us. I rode the bike just on local errands and put less than 500 miles on it during my ownership. I had to undergo major hand surgery and wrist fusion to my right hand, which has prevented me from taking any long-distance trips and is the reason I am letting the bike go. I owned a Harley Road King Classic prior to this and in my humble opinion there is no comparison to the ride this big Beamer gives you. The bike is showroom quality and has no noticeable dings, dents, scratches or flaws, and with only 8000 miles, it seems barely broken in. The bike was just serviced, which included an oil change, new plugs, new battery, and new fuel pump, which was covered under warranty. I have to admit that I am not technically savvy at all when it comes to these bikes and I would guess that most of those viewing are more knowledgeable than I. I know one of the receipts I posted states the bike had been sitting awhile but that was from me telling the Service Mgr that it sat for a couple of months when I had my surgery. I have always started it and at least taken short rides just not any real distances.\r\nThe \"rough running\" was again the terminology I used when it seemed to be missing just a bit and I took it in and had the plugs replaced. Not being at all mechanically inclined or knowledgeable, I have no idea if BMW removed, emptied and cleaned the fuel tank when they replaced the fuel pump but the \"rough riding\" issue was the plugs and they did an overall check of the bike and as the receipt says, \"it's running as it should.\" They never mentioned any other fuel system items to answer your question in the second paragraph.
