I regret that I have to sell it, but it is too big for my current storage situation. It has been an excellent car for me because it drives and rides like a 1970s luxury car should, and it always turns heads. It has never failed to proceed while I\u2019ve owned it. I bought the car because the condition of the interior was so nice. I did quite a bit of work to make the exterior presentable, including new paint, new top (including new window rubber), NOS front turn signal lenses/blades, NOS taillight lenses, NOS stainless molding for 3 of the wheel openings, NOS Bill Blass badges on the sail panels and NOS Mark V grill badge. There was no rust under the top when we peeled the old one off. Using a trick I learned from a Mark V expert, the normally fixed rear windows have been made to be removable for true hardtop style (see photos 10, 11 and 216). The previous owner replaced the vacuum hoses, so the headlight doors and HVAC vent doors open and close flawlessly. As a personal preference, I elected not to recreate the factory pinstripes. I live in Northern California where A/C isn\u2019t mandatory, so I never investigated the system beyond finding out that it doesn\u2019t hold a charge. The second hand on the clock moves (see the dashboard video), but the minute and hour hands do not advance. I am including with the sale a FoMoCo Quardasonic demonstration 8-track tape, a Sparkomatic cassette-to-8-track adaptor and a Bill Blass retrospective book that features many photos of Lauren Hutton wearing his original designs (see photo 207).
