I currently own 3 of these (993s). I bought this one as a 993 I could drive every day - which I've done since the rebuild in April '15. With 4 911s currently in the stable I'm freeing up space to move on to the next Porsche chapter.\nThere was no expense spared in the engine and suspension rebuild in 2015. It runs smooth & strong particularly when the Varioram intake system kicks in past 5,000rpm. I have not seen a single drop of oil from the car (engine or oil lines) since the build last year.\nThe interior is solid driver condition - clean with no major flaws. The leather gets regular conditioning and shows well for its age. The paint was professionally corrected in 2015, and is also good for a driver. However there are minor imperfections, and nicks and bumps on the front leading edges consistent with use and age. If someone wanted to take this car to the next level, then a respray would eventually be the next (and final) step. \nBottom line- this is a great driver that i don't hesitate to jump in and drive anywhere. In past 3 months I've driven it from Asheville to Nashville TN (600 mi round trip in 1 day), and to the NC coast (800 mi round trip).\nLet me know if any questions. Indicators to me include original factory labels in the engine bay and door jambs, original build code label under front hood, good panel gaps/fit, no signs of repair or non-factory welds inside front compartment, and lastly.....the Carfax.\nAs far as corrosion, there is minor bubbling (see photo) at the base of both A pillars. As we all know a typical weak point on air cooled 911s due to gasket design/failure. Since I've had the car I've been sure to keep those area dry and clean, and have not noticed them worsening - but they eventually should be addressed. There is also minor corrosion on the guides at the base of the tray for the headlight units. I replaced the rubber gaskets on the headlight units and cleaned the rust area, and don't feel this needs further attention but its worth mentioning and keeping an eye on long term.\nDuring the rebuild we noticed corrosion on the right side metal bracket that holds the rear plastic bumper/valence in place - a cheap part so we replaced both sides.\nLastly, while the engine was out we cleaned the engine bay, wheel wells, and undercarriage. I don't know of any undercarriage rust issues, but the car has been driven and enjoyed and is not a garage queen. There are so many slight differences from country to country (e.g. gauge markings, various reflectors and lights, location of codes/stickers, bumpers and pads, etc.), often implemented to meet newly dictated safety regulations in that region, that there seem to be exceptions to most of the rules for a specific model year and region.
