These were the wheels that were on the car when I bought it (you can see photos of how I found it in the gallery). The centers do protrude out more then the much more common wheels on my '74 alfa spider. I like the pure sale aspect of a no reserve auction. After months in storage the Spica cars never fail to start. The Webered cars need a shot of ether or lots of cranking to prime them. And they take forever to warm up. I have a 75 sedan that was converted to Webers years ago by the p.o. The Alfa is a real gem- very original appearing as if were a 2 year old car and it's 1973, seriously it does not look like a restored car all polished up with way too many obviously brand new parts and show car paint job. To me the really impressive part is the condition of the interior and trim, the chrome is amazing, the headliner is tight and clean, the dash and gauges are so sharp. Sitting in the car is like a pair of broken in Top Siders, Levis and your favorite sweatshirt - don't change anything.\nThe original appearance on the exterior is equally impressive, obviously not a brand new paint job but no real visible flaws until you start to really scrutinize and even then just a couple of nicks and scratches. Sheet metal is solid all over, no indication of any rust issues. trunk, spare tire well, rockers, door sills, cowl area, floors.....all good. Again the chrome is near perfect, glass, door seals and rubber all good. The pictures in the gallery do not lie, underneath and engine compartment are really clean, the car starts and idles clean right away, sounds wonderful. Personally I'm disappointed that I won't be the next owner, just don't have the space or the funds currently. Somebody is going to be very happy with this car.
